HVAC Load Calculations

Also called a Manual J, HVAC load calculations assess how much heating and cooling is needed by each room of your house.  This allows the mechanical equipment you install to be correctly sized for your specific house and for each room of your home to get the correct amount of air.  Many HVAC contractors will tell you that they “just know” what size system you need and how much air each room needs, but this often results in noisy systems or rooms that are never quite the right temperature.

System Selection

Based on the results of the manual J, we’ll select equipment that will provide enough heating, cooling, and airflow for your home. This is called a Manual S. When doing this, we can take into account any brand preferences you might have. We’ll also look at what incentives are available in your area and select equipment, when possible, that will qualify you for them.

Eliminate Hot/Cold Rooms

Many houses have a room that is just never the right temperature. There are several main causes for this: not enough heated/cooled air getting to the room, poor or missing insulation, or the room being drafty. Through HVAC load calculations and reviewing your architectural plans for weak points, we will work to ensure all of your rooms are equally comfortable, all year round.
